Colonial House Ultimate Suites
In July 2007, the inn unveiled its $3.2 million lakeside suites; the Ultimate Suites. The suites reside in the Colonial House which was recently rebuilt on the shores of Mirror Lake. The suites are complete with ten-foot or cathedral ceilings and eight-foot doors that enter into large living areas with stone fireplaces. Each room is accented with oriental rugs, Harden residential furniture, custom-made carved chandeliers and custom mahogany woodwork. The oversized marble bathrooms have in-floor heating and state-of-the-art soaking tubs that are large enough for two. Guests may have in-room spa services, relax on spacious private porches with teak decking and marvel at the best views in the Adirondacks.
Relax in new ways at The Spa
The full-service spa at the inn pampers the body and refreshes the mind with a comprehensive menu of services. The new treatments include: the Mountain Ritual, a rich blend of organic coffee and mineral rich sea kelp work to detoxify the body; Placid Journey, a stimulating blend of ginseng, gingko, bamboo, lavender and local organic honey combine to regenerate and revitalize weary skin; Lakeside Water Treatment, an all encompassing treatment that exfoliates, detoxifies, re-hydrates, re-mineralizes and moisturizes; and The Mirror Lake Ceremony, based on royal customs in Java, the decadent and memorable experience includes everything from a warm stone and rose oil foot bath; ground rice, turmeric and jasmine body polish to a jasmine facial ritual and energy balancing.
Adirondack Festival of Food & Wine
The Adirondack Festival of Food & Wine returns to the Mirror Lake Inn April 24 - 27, 2008. Now in its third year, the festival brings together many of the country's top chefs and vintners for three days of wine tastings, culinary demonstrations, a seven-course pairing dinner and a cooking competition. Guests mingle with other food and wine enthusiasts, learn from the chefs and will return home with a file of recipes for personal use.
Theme dinner at The View
The View, the inn's fine dining restaurant serving creative comfort food in a relaxed setting, is now offering theme dinners throughout the year.
