Spa Desk Receptionist
Spa Desk Receptionist – starting at $18.00/hour
Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa is seeking a qualified Full Time or Part Time Spa Desk Receptionist to provide professional and engaging wellness experience to our guests. Our mission is to provide polite and friendly service that makes our Inn a memorable experience for everyone. Daily duties include but are not limited to, taking reservations, processing transactions, stocking the hotel gift shop, being responsible for the indoor pool, gym, and spa sanctuaries, salt room and keeping a clean, safe and professional environment for all guests and staff. This can include stocking towels, emptying garbage, fulfilling guests’ requests, sanitizing equipment etc. To be successful in this role, you should be highly organized, detail orientated, professional, motivated, and enthusiastic. Flexibility in schedule is a must.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests upon their arrival and processing transactions
- Answering clients’ questions about services via phone, email or in person
- Suggest and promote retail products or additional services
- Responsible for the entire lower level of the Inn, including the indoor pool, gym, salon, spa sanctuaries, and boutique
- Ensuring 4 diamond expectations are always met
- Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer needs and expectations
- Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations
- Cooperate with and report to administration on any arising issues
- Engage with guests
- Maintaining Salt Room activities
Requirements
- Experience in retail design and sales will be considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of grammar and speaking the English language
- Efficient computer skills and willingness to learn
- Communication and customer service skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Availability on weekends and holidays
- Great physical stamina and ability to lift 20 pounds

Massage Therapist
Starting Rate is $11.85 per hour, plus commission, plus gratuities. Average with Tips & Comm. $35.00-$50.00
We are looking for a qualified Full Time and/or Part-Time Licensed Massage Therapist to provide professional and engaging wellness therapies and massage treatments to our clients in our Resort Spa. You will offer a full range of treatments to fulfil different client needs and objectives. Previous Spa Experience and flexibility in schedule is preferred. We are Lake Placid’s finest Resort & Spa.
Responsibilities
- Converse with clients and deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, etc.) in a safe and comfortable manner
- Maintain equipment and tools when appropriate
- Keep documentation and maintain client’s files
- Keep a clean and stocked room
- Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs and expectations
- Suggest and promote retail products or additional services
- Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations
- Cooperate with and report on administration on any arising issues
Requirements
- Proven hands on work experience as a Massage Therapist
- Well rounded and experienced with a variety of techniques is considered an asset
- Fluent with the English language
- Communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work as a team member
- Great physical stamina
- User level computer skills
- High School diploma and successful completion of a massage therapy school is a must
- New York State License in Massage Therapy is required

Cosmetologist
Starting Rate is $14.20 per hour, plus commission, plus gratuities. Average with Tips & Comm. $20.00-$35.00
We are looking for both Full Time and Part Time Licensed Cosmetologists to help customers transform their physical appearance and fulfil different client needs and objectives in our Luxury Resort Salon. You will be responsible for listening to the customer’s wishes and desires and provide them with the most suitable services. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of improving both hair and nails. They will be deft and competent with a broad knowledge of trends and fashion. Previous salon experience and flexibility in schedule is preferred. The ideal is to achieve maximum customer satisfaction to drive long-term success for our business. We are Lake Placid’s finest Resort & Spa.

Full or Part-Time Licensed Nail Technician
We are looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Licensed Nail Technician to help customers transform their physical appearance and fulfill different client needs and objectives in our Luxury Resort Salon. You will be responsible for listening to the customer’s wishes and desires and provide them with the most suitable services. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of improving nails and skin. They will be deft and competent with a broad knowledge of trends and fashion. Previous salon experience and flexibility in schedule is preferred. The ideal is to achieve maximum customer satisfaction to drive long-term success for our business. We are Lake Placid’s finest Resort & Spa. Candidates for this position will be tested on their ability to shape and polish nails. Pay $14.20 / hour + tips and commission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Converse with clients to better understand their beauty and wellness goals and make suggestions for improving their appearance
- Follow our protocols and sequence of steps in services
- Apply, promote, and sell retail beauty products or additional services
- Keep documentation and maintain client’s files
- Maintain equipment and tools when appropriate
- Meet the AAA Four-Diamond and Small Luxury Hotels level of care and service ratings
- Attention to detail and engagement with guests is a must
- Comply with health and safety regulations
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a nail technician preferred
- Working knowledge of all aspects of cosmetology and best practices
- Up to date with fashion and beauty trends
- Knowledgeable in and able to identify skin and nail diseases
- Willingness to perform additional salon treatments will receive recognition
- Great physical stamina
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- User level computer skills
- Fluent with the English language
- Working on weekends and holidays should be expected
- High school diploma and a successful completion of a nail technician school is a must
- New York State Nail Technician License or Cosmetologist License required
