Well known for our vibrant flowers and lush gardens, we invite you to join us for this summer’s ” Adirondack FlowerFest” Package! This fun-filled and informational 2-night package will have you creating gardens at home that are sure to “pop” and wow your neighbors.
We will kick things off on Wednesday evening with a meet & greet with members of our talented grounds crew featuring light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Thursday starts of with a hearty Adirondack breakfast in The View restaurant followed by a full morning seminar covering a couple of very popular gardening topics for this year:
Cut Flower/Bouquet Gardening
There’s nothing like heading out into your garden for a sunrise/sunset pick of flowers for a beautiful bouquet. Whether you’re sharing them with friends and neighbors, or enjoying them yourself, cut flowers add an extra bit of happiness to your day. (With little effort!)
Gardens for Pollinators, Insects & Birds
In this discussion, you’ll learn about gardening to support these important species of wildlife. We’ll talk about how easy it is to incorporate native species and flowering plants into your gardens to provide respite, food and shelter to these amazing garden visitors.
After a break for lunch, you will enjoy a Q&A session / walking tour of the gardens here at the Mirror Lake Inn. (With a glass of wine of course…) The rest of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy however you like. Relax by the fire or indulge in the Spa or Salon, the choice is yours.
Friday kicks off with another hearty breakfast in The View restaurant at your leisure, followed by a tour of the breathtaking gardens at our sister property, The Whiteface Club & Resort located on the shores of scenic Lake Placid. The event will conclude with a gourmet, lakeside lunch at the Club’s Moose Lodge Boathouse restaurant before heading home.
