Adirondack Easter at Mirror Lake Inn

Is it me, or is our Adirondack Easter sneaking up on us?

They say March 27 is pretty early. Typically, Easter Sunday is associated with warm weather and bonnets, and normally, an early Adirondack Easter would definitely not include bonnets, unless they were made of fleece with ear flaps. But in the warmer-than-usual winter of 2015-2016, who’s to say. The word on Easter Sunday indicates sunny conditions with temps in the upper 50s. In fact, it will be a beautiful spring weekend in these parts with Saturday coming in with sunny and 50 degree weather.

Adirondack Easter at the inn includes activities for the kids

Adirondack Easter at the Inn, being planned by our various department managers, includes everything you’d need to make your stay memorable.  Our package includes two nights lodging in a Classic room, breakfast for up to a family of four, Easter baskets, Easter egg decorating and an Easter egg hunt. And if you’re up for it, you MUST try our brunch on Easter Sunday.

You might consider bringing your skis and boards next weekend as Whiteface Mountain – This link opens in a new browser tab will be open. Just this morning we received a few inches of snow, so winter is not done with us just yet, although our lakes are very soft and, alas, there are no further winter activities on them.

But if we can’t play on Mirror Lake, that means we can go for long walks, jogging, hikes, visiting the Olympic venues, taking in the Olympic Museum.

And let’s not forget that if you’re a hockey fan, Lake Placid will host the NCAA – This link opens in a new browser tab Men’s Division III Hockey Championships March 25-26. The Olympic Center, site of the tournament, is easy walking distance from our hotel.

There’s no question that winter is winding down, but activities still abound in our town. Looking ahead, Whiteface Mountain will host the annual pond skimming contest and beach party on April 2-3.
