Lake Placid Airport (LKP)

The Lake Placid Municipal Airport is about one mile south of the village on Route 73. Hours of operation: 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily. 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. in July & August. Runway: 4,200 feet. Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG)

Regional carrier SkyWest, a United subsidiary, flies 50-seat regional jets twice daily to Washington/Dulles airport. From Plattsburgh, it’s only a 50 mile / one hour drive to the Mirror Lake Inn that takes you from Lake Champlain into the Adirondacks. Avis and Enterprise have car rental agencies at the Plattsburgh International Airport. Adirondack Regional Airport (SLK)

The Adirondack Regional Airport provides direct service between Boston and Saranac Lake via Cape Air, a United partner, with Hertz rentals awaiting your arrival. Located in Lake Clear, 16 miles from Lake Placid, it offers easy access to the entire region. Amtrak operates between New York City and Montreal – local stop in Westport, N.Y. (40 miles from Lake Placid). For information call 1-800-USA-RAIL.
