Lake Placid – The Farmer’s Almanac says the summer of 2025 will be a hot one in the Northeast. Those farmers were not only referencing the approaching heat, but also the level of events coming to the Lake Placid region in the next six months.
This part of Upstate New York has become known for the myriad of recreational activities that it offers visitors and residents alike. Hiking, biking, boating, fishing, swimming, golf, tennis and more await amongst our 46 Adirondack peaks, six million acres of wilderness, a total of 3,000 lakes and 30,000 miles of rivers and streams.

But to accompany all that outdoor pleasure there is a lineup of events that are interesting, thrilling and just plain enjoyable. This summer will be no different. Here’s what it will look like.

There you have it – an activities menu that very few destination resorts can host, all wrapped up into one package.
The AAA Four Diamond Mirror Lake Inn is located just a few minutes by foot or vehicle to the above events. Just like during the 1980 Winter Olympics when all venues were within 10 miles of our village, the same logistics are in play for these Lake Placid summer events. Cozy, intimate, and this summer, hot.
