Skate America Returns to Lake Placid!
Skate America, one of the most prestigious international figure skating competitions, is coming back to the Lake Placid Olympic Center’s Herb Brooks Arena.
Traditionally the first stop of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, Skate America will serve as the fifth of six stops next season, bringing together top skaters from around the world, including U.S. champions and World medalists. Over the course of three days, athletes will compete in women’s, men’s, pairs, and ice dance events.
Lake Placid has a special place in Skate America’s history—hosting the inaugural event in 1979. This year marks the sixth time the competition will take place in Lake Placid and the first time since 2017, as well as the third time during an Olympic season.
This exciting return is sure to bring world-class talent and thrilling performances to the Adirondacks!
