Michael B. Shepard is a singer /songwriter, and troubadour, a local folk musician who lives in Lake Placid, New York and works as a professor of Nursing at North Country Community College. He has played for a number of years and performed at many events and fundraising charities throughout the North Country and Adirondack region as a solo performer but also as a member of the acoustic duo or trio Windy River and Half-moon. Mike’s genre and repertoire are an eclectic mix of sweet and soulful ballads, his smooth baritone vocals and powerful delivery are often inspirational as well as nostalgic to the audience. Mike preforms several original songs and many folk rock classics. Mike lists his inspirations from many popular artists such as Jimmy Buffet, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne and Neil Young to name but a few.
