A Challenge Awaits!
The Whiteface Uphill Bike Race will be Saturday, June 7 at 5:30 p.m. Climb 3,500 feet over 8 miles up the scenic Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway to the top of New York’s 5th highest peak for a 360° panoramic view of the Adirondacks, New England and Canada. Race Details
- The race starts in the middle of Wilmington at the Visitors Bureau, 5753 NYS RT 86 Wilmington NY.
- Packet pick-up and parking will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Preston Festival Field, 1135 Springfield Road, Wilmington, NY (just around the corner from the starting line).
- Packet will include your bib, t-shirt and meal voucher.
- There will be a bag drop vehicle at the starting line if you desire a change of clothes for the top. Please make sure you have your name and phone number on or in the bag.
- We use a timing mat and do a rolling start instead of a mass start. You will get a timing chip with your bib.
- If you don’t feel comfortable riding your bike back down, you may have someone meet you at the top. We will sell spectator passes at registration. These are cash only and a per person price.

If you like a challenge, this is the course for you. This USATF certified course covers 8 miles over an 8 percent grade up Whiteface Mountain’s scenic Veterans’ Memorial Highway.
