Adirondack Culinary Weekend

LAKE PLACID – As foliage in Upstate New York has changed and temps begin to drop, it’s the perfect time to gather around the table and bring the bounty of our mountains to your dining room. That’s the goal of Adirondack Culinary Weekend set for Nov. 5-7 at the Mirror Lake Inn.

In recent years, the iconic Inn has partnered with Chef Curtiss Hemm and his Carriage House Cooking School in Peru, N.Y., some 35 miles from Lake Placid. We welcome the return of Curtiss in early November for this special event, which brings to life the Adirondacks farm to table dining concept. Guests will couple the luxury and world-class service of the Mirror Lake Inn with Chef Hemm’s demonstrations. These will be designed to send you home ready to provide your family and visitors with a culinary sense of the North Country.

“I am focusing the weekend’s cooking classes on celebrating the bounty and terroir of the Adirondacks and it’s surrounding farmland during the fall and upcoming winter seasons,” said Chef Hemm, the former Dean of Culinary Arts at the prestigious New England Culinary Institute. “From fondue to a creative take on Eggs Benedict, I’ll be showcasing recipes that are sure to make it to your holiday parties and brunches.”

For those interested in attending Adirondack Culinary Weekend, please check the hotel’s package page for all the details. The stay includes two nights lodging, a meet and greet, daily breakfast, dinner in The View restaurant on the evening of your choice, as well as access to both of Chef Hemm’s culinary classes.

The Mirror Lake Inn and Carriage House Cooking School will offer another culinary weekend in the spring of 2022.
